General
What is SharkVPN?
SharkVPN is a personal VPN service that encrypts your internet traffic and routes it through our secure servers. Your internet provider, the coffee-shop network and the sites you visit see our server — not your real IP address. The whole service runs on WireGuard, a modern protocol built for speed and simplicity.
Which devices can I use SharkVPN on?
SharkVPN runs on Android phones and tablets, Fire TV Stick and Android TV. One subscription covers up to 5 devices at the same time — 5 devices, 5 simultaneous connections.
How many servers and locations do you have?
The network runs 10 server locations across 8 countries and 4 continents: the United Kingdom, Germany, the United States, Australia, Singapore, France, Finland and the Netherlands. See the Servers page for the current list — it grows as new servers come online.
Will SharkVPN slow my connection down?
WireGuard is the fastest mainstream VPN protocol available, and our servers sit on very fast connections. Most people notice little to no difference in everyday use — streaming, calls and downloads feel normal.
Is support really available 24/7?
Yes — the AI assistant answers questions around the clock: tap the chat bubble on any page, in any language the site speaks. For anything it can't solve, email admin@sharkvpn.co and a human will reply, typically within a day.
Is there a free version?
The app comes with a selection of free servers built in, so you can see it working before you pay. Premium servers — the full network — unlock with any SharkVPN subscription, and every plan starts with a free 24-hour trial of everything.
Can I use SharkVPN for streaming?
Yes — your bandwidth is unmetered on every plan. Which streaming services work from which region can vary, so if one server doesn't work for your service, simply try another.
Technical
Which VPN protocol does SharkVPN use?
SharkVPN supports both WireGuard and OpenVPN, and you pick your protocol in the app menu. WireGuard is the default recommendation: state-of-the-art cryptography (ChaCha20, Curve25519), a tiny codebase that is easy to audit, and near-instant handshakes for the fastest, most stable connection.
What is the Kill Switch and do I need it?
The Kill Switch is your safety net: if the VPN tunnel ever drops unexpectedly, it immediately blocks your device's internet access so your real IP address can't leak. We recommend leaving it on — it's on by default in our apps.
What is Split Tunneling?
Split Tunneling lets you choose which apps use the VPN and which connect directly. For example, route your browser through SharkVPN while your banking app stays on the local connection.
What is DNS Leak Protection?
A DNS 'leak' happens when your device resolves website names through your internet provider's servers, revealing where you browse even though the rest of your traffic is encrypted. SharkVPN resolves all DNS inside the tunnel, so nothing escapes.
Billing
How much does SharkVPN cost?
Four simple plans: 1 Month £5, 3 Months £10, 6 Months £20 and our best-value 12 Months £30 (just £2.50/month). Every plan includes the full feature set and covers 5 devices with 5 simultaneous connections — the only difference is how long you commit.
Which payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards at launch, with more payment options added as checkout grows. If a method you need is missing, email us — we listen.
Is there a free trial?
Yes — every plan starts with a free 24-hour trial: full speeds, every location, no commitment. If you like it, plans start at £5/month. On top of that, every subscription guarantees lightning-fast speeds for its full duration.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Anytime — email us and we'll take care of it, with no nag screens and no guilt-trip prompts. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for. Self-service cancellation inside your account arrives together with our customer portal.
Privacy
Do you track or sell my data?
No. SharkVPN's business is your subscription — not your data. We don't log your browsing activity, we don't profile you, and we don't sell or rent information to anyone. Read the No-Logs page for the full picture.
What information do you collect when I sign up?
An email address and a payment reference — that's the minimum needed to run your subscription. We don't ask for your real name or home address.
Where is SharkVPN based?
SharkVPN keeps no activity logs, so our jurisdiction sees none of your browsing data — there is simply nothing to hand over. Full company and contact details are available on request.
Do you ever share data with third parties?
We don't sell or share browsing data — there is none to share under our no-logs policy. The only disclosures we'd ever make are those we're legally compelled to make, and because we keep no activity logs, there's very little to disclose.
