Terms of Service

Plain-language terms for using SharkVPN. Nothing here is intended to trap you — the rules exist so the service works well for everyone.

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using SharkVPN, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the service.

You must be at least 18 years old, or have your parent or guardian's permission, to purchase a subscription.

2. The service

SharkVPN provides a personal virtual private network service built on the WireGuard protocol. A subscription covers up to 5 devices connected at the same time — 5 devices, 5 simultaneous connections.

We target 99.9% availability and keep planned maintenance as brief as possible. Every subscription also carries our speed promise: if your speeds fall consistently short of what your connection should deliver, contact us and we will work to fix it or make it right.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us as soon as you suspect unauthorised access.

One account per person. Sharing your account outside your household may result in suspension.

4. Free trial

Every plan starts with a free 24-hour trial: full speeds, every server location, no commitment. The mechanics of starting a trial (and whether payment details are required) are shown at signup before you confirm.

One trial per person. We may withdraw trial availability if it is abused.

5. Subscriptions, billing and renewal

Plans are billed in advance in British pounds (GBP) for the period you choose — 1 month (£5), 3 months (£10), 6 months (£20) or 12 months (£30). Prices shown at checkout are the prices you pay; UK VAT is handled by our payment processor as applicable.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.

Unless you cancel before your renewal date, your plan renews for the same period at the then-current rate. We will email you a renewal reminder before each renewal takes place.

6. Cancelling

You can cancel at any time — email us and we will take care of it (self-service cancellation inside your account is coming with the customer portal). Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and it simply does not renew.

There are no cancellation fees.

7. Refunds

Our free 24-hour trial exists so you can try the full service before paying — it is our risk-free way for you to decide. Apart from that, we do not offer a money-back guarantee, and subscription fees already paid are non-refundable once the service period has started, except where required by law.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights. If you believe you are owed a refund, email us — we treat people fairly.

8. Acceptable use

SharkVPN may be used for lawful purposes only. You must not use the service to break the law, infringe the rights of others, send spam, or attack, disrupt or scan networks and systems without permission.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Where practical and permitted by law, we will warn you first.

9. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided with reasonable skill and care, but we do not guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

We are not liable for losses that are not a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Significant changes will be communicated by email before they take effect, and the 'last updated' date below will change. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Last updated: October 2026.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction. This does not affect your mandatory consumer rights wherever you live.

The operating entity's registered details will be published in this section before payments open.
