Drafted for SharkVPN — final legal review pending before publication. This page is not legal advice.

Privacy Policy

The short version: we don't sell your data, we don't log your browsing, and we ask for as little as possible. The long version is below — written to be read, not skimmed past.

1. Who we are

SharkVPN ("we", "us") operates the website https://sharkvpn.co and the SharkVPN virtual private network service. This policy explains what personal information we handle, why, and the choices you have.

We are a small, independent operator. Full company registration details will be published in this section before payments open. For anything in this policy, contact us at admin@sharkvpn.co.

2. What we collect

Account information: an email address. That is the only field required to create a SharkVPN account — we do not ask for your real name or postal address.

Billing information: payments are processed by our payment processor (Stripe). We receive a payment reference and your subscription status; we never see or store your full card details. Stripe handles your card data under its own privacy policy, available on Stripe's website.

Support communications: if you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to tell us, and keep the thread so we can help you across replies.

Website preferences: your chosen site language and (while using the preview member area) a small sign-in flag stored in your browser's local storage. See section 6.

3. What we never collect

We do not log your browsing activity, the websites you visit, connection timestamps, your originating IP address, your DNS queries, or the content of your traffic. Our VPN servers are built so that this data is not recorded at all — see our No-Logs Policy for the plain-language detail.

4. How we use your information

To run your subscription: creating your account, activating service, sending renewal and service notices, and providing support. This is performance of our contract with you.

To keep the service and accounts safe: fraud prevention and abuse handling. This is our legitimate interest in protecting the service and our customers.

To answer your questions: email and chat support. This is performance of our contract with you.

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.

5. AI assistant and live chat

The public-site chat assistant is powered by Cloudflare Workers AI. Your chat messages are processed to generate an answer and are not used to advertise to you. Please don't put personal information you don't need to share into chat — for account-specific matters, email us instead.

The members-only live chat is provided by a third-party chat provider (Tawk.to) so a human can reply. When enabled, that provider processes chat messages under its own privacy policy.

6. Cookies and local storage

This website does not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies, and we do not run cross-site trackers.

We use a small amount of browser local storage for things that only work if the site remembers them: your signed-in state in the member area, and your language preference. You can clear these at any time through your browser settings; clearing the sign-in flag simply signs you out.

7. Sharing with third parties

We share personal information only with the processors needed to run the service: Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (website hosting, DNS and the AI assistant), and — when enabled — Tawk.to (member live chat).

We will disclose information only where we are legally compelled to. Because we keep no activity logs, there is no browsing data to disclose about you.

8. Data retention

Account information is kept while your subscription is active. When you cancel and your plan period ends, we delete your account information unless we are required to keep billing records for longer by law (tax and accounting rules typically require a period of several years — the exact period is confirmed before payments open).

Support email threads are kept while they are useful for helping you, and deleted on request.

9. Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, and to object to or restrict how it is used. To exercise any of these, email admin@sharkvpn.co — we respond within one month.

If you are in the UK and unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). If you are elsewhere in Europe or the world, you may have equivalent rights locally — email us first and we will always try to sort it out directly.

10. Security

We keep collected information to a minimum precisely because the safest data is the data we never hold. What we do hold is protected by access controls, and payment card data never touches our systems — it is handled end-to-end by Stripe.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and change the 'last updated' date below. If a change is significant, we will also email account holders.

Last updated: October 2026.

12. Contact

For any privacy question, request or complaint, email admin@sharkvpn.co — a human reads every message.
